It beats it in acceleration for sure, I mean it almost hit the SS's speed in 1/4 the amount of straight away, and it did beat the Veyron SS's speed limiter, seeing as they don't limit the Venom that they sell to the general public..or..general public who has far to much many to make sense of.. lol

Oh yeah cause slapping a big ass turbo to an American V8 is soo sophisticated and soo hard to do, that's why everyone and their mother slaps turbos onto everything and gets 1,000hp.

Volkswagen didn't use a big engine because they had to, they did because they can. It's not hard at all to squeeze ridiculous amounts of power out of a turbo engine, what is hard is making that engine reliable for a long amount of time, that's why even crazy automakers like AMG don't jack the boost up to 30 or 40. The 5.5 for instance has the potential for ridiculous amounts of power, but with more power comes reduced reliability.

There's nothing pornographic about an American V8 with a huge turbo. But a W16 with 4 turbos, a crazy intercooler, 8 piston front brakes, a 7 speed double clutch with AWD, and many other things, is engineering porn.

yes because double the cylinders and double turbos to make about the same power is sooooo much better.

IMO the Bugatti is cool for what it did at the time, but its fugly. Id rather have a huge horsepower car made in 'MERICA made by MURICANS.

Unless you want one of them to be the fastest :P and have you ever met anyone rich who wants a all in one car? They all have wayyy more then 2 cars, 2 for luxury and speed would be normal for them. I wouldn't buy either of these honestly if I were filthy rich.

It's not hard at all to squeeze incredibly large amounts of power out of any engine with a turbo (or turbos). Volkswagen engineers have said that it's insanely easy to get more power out of the W16, but as with any production engine, you have to worry about reliability.

AMG for instance can get well over 900 horsepower out of their 5.5 engines, but doing so would compromise reliability, that's why they've capped output at around 600.

I am not all impressed at the Venom and how it reaches its top speed. I am however impressed that the Veyron can do what it can do, and still be as reliable as most cars.

Uhmm... first car.. there's so many too choose from -.- I'd probably first finish building my Z33, turn my beetle into a dragster thenn..choose a truck of some sort to DD and tow track cars, then....choose between a E30 M3, AE86, or Escort Mk2, and after that, Ferrari F40. So first would be car parts, then a truck, lol
